SAMPLE
The Altstadt (Old Town) covers roughly one square kilometer on the river’s west bank and the Neustadt (New Town) about as much on the east bank, and most of what draws visitors sits within a thirty-minute walk. The city grew around the prince-archbishops’ court and the salt trade, both tied to the river and the fortified hilltop. The river runs north-south, and the two hills on either side of it, the Mönchsberg to the west and the Kapuzinerberg to the east, keep you oriented: take a wrong turn and you soon reach a landmark you recognize, either a hill, the river or the fortress above them.

Mid-priced.
