Day 1: The Volcanic Interior, Kept Light
- The day. Timanfaya and La Geria as above, with lunch as the long middle of the day and nothing planned after it.
- Easier. The Timanfaya coach and lunch, stopping by about 3pm.
- More ambitious. Add the Volcán del Cuervo loop and El Golfo at sunset; the drive back to the resorts is 30-45 minutes in the dark (see Driving alone in The Solo Woman’s Lanzarote).
- Places to sit. The coach seat, El Aljibe del Obispo, a table at El Golfo facing the water.
- Stopping point. 3pm on the easier plan; dinner at El Golfo on the ambitious one, if you are comfortable driving unlit roads.
